The Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation is responsible for matters relating to housing and urban development, state-owned enterprises, information technology, enterprise and industrial policy, rural affairs, regional growth, post issues and infrastructure.


Swedish Energy Agency

The Swedish Energy Agency works for a sustainable energy system, combining ecological sustainability, competitiveness and security of supply. The Agency finances research for new and renewable energy technologies, smart grids, and vehicles and transport fuels of the future. The Agency supports commercialization and growth of energy related cleantech.


IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute

Founded jointly by the Swedish government and the Swedish business sector in 1966, IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute is Sweden’s first and oldest environmental research institute. We work with applied research and on commission to promote ecologically, economically, and socially sustainable growth within business and society at large.

The Swedish Government has formed the work groups Team Sweden Energy and Team Sweden Smart Cities, which consist of representatives from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Environment and Energy, the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation, together with some 15 Government Agencies and other relevant organisations.



ElectriCITY is a citizen driven innovation platform in Hammarby Sjöstad with members and partners from business, research institutes and the City of Stockholm.


Swedish Cleantech

Swedish Cleantech is the official business-to-business platform for Swedish companies. The purpose is to contribute to the development, commercialisation and export of Swedish environmental technology.


ASSET – The Association of Swedish Environmental Technology Industries

ASSET is a member organisation that represents around 1500 Swedish cleantech companies.


Business Region Gothenburg

Business Region Gothenburg is a member of ASSET. They connect international stakeholders with environmental technology providers and companies in Western Sweden that contribute to green systems solutions.


Cleantech Uppsala

Cleantech Uppsala is a member of ASSET. Promoting cleantech companies in the Uppsala region.

IUC Kalmar Sustainable is a member of ASSET. Promoting the cleantech sector in the Kalmar region.

Mid Sweden Cleantech Hub is a member of ASSET. Promoting cleantech companies in the Västernorrland region.
