Echandia offers zero-emission energy systems for electric vehicles and heavy industry.

Echandia’s competence is behind the electric driveline and charging facilities for E/S Movitz – the world’s first supercharged passenger ferry, launched in 2014 and running in central Stockholm between May and October. Echandia also designed the driveline and energy system of BB Green – the world’s fastest supercharged passenger ferry.

Echandia now focuses exclusively on energy systems for zero-emission vehicles and heavy-duty applications, including passenger ferries, wind farms, energy storage facilities, trams, light-rail vehicles and trucks. Echandia is the only company with DNV-GL certification for an LTO battery system. Its E-LTO battery system was chosen for Arriva’s electric ferry fleet (Copenhagen), the largest fleet of electric ferries (India’s Kochi Water Metro) and Aqualiner’s fleet of ferries for Rotterdam’s public transport system.

What we offer

• Key properties are safety, short charging time (up to 6C), and long lifespan despite very heavy use.
