Biofiber Tech simplifies and accelerates the shift towards sustainable plastic by replacing fossil-based plastic with Biofiber Tech’s material FibraQ.
Biofiber Tech is a Swedish company that develops and offers sustainable plastic solutions based on modified wood fibers. The company was founded by Eric Zhang with the aim of assisting plastic-dependent industries in achieving their sustainability goals and reducing the global carbon footprint.
With sustainably managed forests as a resource, Biofiber Tech creates sustainable materials for long-lasting plastic products. The company produces everything from household products to 3D printed furniture or electronics.
Biofiber Tech’s initial product, FibraQ, is a pelletized form of modified wood fibers produced from sustainably managed forests. FibraQ can be sold to any plastic compounder with a twin-screw extruder, no need for the compounder to be specialized, giving compounders a chance to create sustainable plastics by offering wood-fibre based plastic. FibraQ compounds can be sold to Brand owners or manufactures for use in existing tooling and processes where they today use fossil-based plastic like PP/PE/ABS/TPE. Read more at Fibra Q .
