GAIA develops and produces biodegradable biomaterials for a wide variety of applications . Their vast know-how and experience within the production industry have led them to find new solutions to improve and broaden the use of biomaterial.

GAIA is a young company with long and successful background from the food packaging industry. The company was founded with the idea of a film material which is fully biodegradable and has the same qualities as traditional plastics. The first product produced was a biobag for the Scandinavian waste industry.

GAIA have developed a biomaterial, Biodolomer®. It is a mineral filled biodegradable material which can be used in existing production equipment. GAIA offer Biodolomer® granules for a wide range of conversion technologies, including: film blowing, injection molding, sheet extrusion, and bottle blowing.
