We help industry to reduce emissions, while lowering its cost to the environment.
ITK Envifront is a CleanTech company in the environmental protection technology. The roots of the company were founded in 1955 and has since then developed technology for environmental protection to industry. Engineering for sustainability is therefore naturally built into the genes of the company and permeates everything we do. The business is directed on air pollution control equipment for industrial processes in mining, iron o steel, foundry, paper, food processing and manufacturing industry but also to the treatment of flue gases in combustion processes such as thermal power stations and crematoriums. Our customers are located in most of the continents, but with emphasis on Europe.
To air care is in addition to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions also decrease of PM 2,5 and PM 10 vital factors for the future human wellbeing. These ultra small particle fractions does often consist of carcinogens when its origin most times are from condensed molecules generated during combustion. Too few companies talk about these issues and even fewer do something about it as the public requirements are still too vague in spite of EU regulation. In most of the investments in bag filter installations that industry has undertaken in recent decades a vast improvement potential exists in upgrades. ITK Envifront has developed technology for upgrading of such investments to fulfill BAT.
For bag filter systems on industrial processes, we have developed the control system Control Manager CPFE with a new way to simultaneously control and monitor filter plants that keeps up the long term capacity which also results in reduced energy consumption, reduced wear and maintenance while the process emissions of dust particles often decreases. For biomass-fired heating plant, we have developed a flue gas condenser KACS with scrubber that while providing a large heat recovery from the flue gas also reduces dust emissions to below 50 mg/nm3. It also means a substantial reduction in the level of PM 2,5 and sub-micron particles in the flue gas. Both technologies help our customers to save the environment at the same time as the economy improves.
For an inexpensive way to monitor performance, functional as well as environmental, of dust collection plants, we have by means of Internet of Things developed technology for continuous connectivity. The technology is based on our Control Manager CPFE which wirelessly communicates to a web server allowing all stakeholders in the enterprise without costly investments via the Internet and the web browser on the PC to follow up the dust collector system function. It enables for example to get fault alarms when deviations has occurred and or collect historical data and trace faults.
