The Ambassador from the United Arab Emirates in Sweden, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, visited Skellefteå and Umeå in Northern Sweden on September 24th.
During his visit in Skellefteå the Ambassador met with the CEO of Skellefteå Airport, the Chariman of Regional Development, the Mayor of Skellefteå and the CEO of Skellefteå Kraft. Malin Burlin Lundmark, from North Sweden Cleantech and Skellefteå Science City showed the Ambassador Northvolt, the battery Gigafactory which is producing li-ion cells and systems.
After he visited Skellefteå the Ambassador travelled to Umeå, where H.E. presented the World Expo Dubai for companies and organisations that were interested in participating in the Expo. The ambassador welcomed people to visit the World Expo over the next 6 months.
Smart City Sweden North welcomed the Ambassador and his network to join Smart City Sweden´s event on wooden construction, sending live from the Swedish Pavilion in Dubai and from Stockholm, November 2-3. Read more and register for the Smart City Sweden event here.
