On the 2nd and 3rd of November, Smart City Sweden will host an event as part of the Swedish Pavilion at the Expo 2020 in Dubai. The event will focus on opportunities and challenges with building with wood.
Joining the events are experts in the field from companies, academia and organisations, that will discuss topics such as fire safety, digitalisation and circularity.
We will also hear from best practices in Sweden, where wood has been used to create unique buildings. One of the examples is the newly inaugurated culture house Sara, one of the tallest wooden buildings in the world. We will also hear about the construction of the Swedish Pavilion in Dubai, which is completely made of Swedish wood and where sustainability has been in the very heart of the construction.
– Wood is a climate-friendly material that can play an important role when creating sustainable cities. That is why we are focusing on wood at this event, says Gina Aspelin Hedbring, Project Manager at Smart City Sweden.
You can join the event digitally or by visiting the Swedish pavilion in Dubai.
