The worldwide conference Beyond 2020, 2-4 November, goes online. International participants from areas such as private companies, policy making and finance will attend and discuss how to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and communities.

By 2050 68 % of the world’s population will live in cities, which amounts to a staggering 6.6 billion people. With less than 4000 days to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals, this prompts swift and efficient action.

Green Gothenburg, part of Smart City Sweden, will introduce a virtual study tour at the conference, where online visitors can enter three buildings in Gothenburg that have been equipped with exciting and smart sustainability solutions.

– We have chosen three different types of buildings, where smart solutions such as systems for efficient energy and water use have been installed. We hope that this will increase the international interest in Swedish solutions as regards innovative and energy-efficient construction and that this, in turn, will lead to inquires from decision-makers wanting to meet with Swedish companies and experts, says Katarina Clase, Business Developer at Business Region Göteborg.
