Smart Cities New York 2018 will bring together local and international leaders, influencers, and experts from both the private and public sectors to discuss how they are redefining urban environments to be smarter, safer, healthier and more resilient.
NYC as a market: The city of New York has set out to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 80% in 2050. To reach this target, New York City, along with most major American cities, is investing in sustainable and smart solutions within renewable energy, energy efficiency, smart and electric transportation, climate adaptation, solid waste management, etc.
Nordic clean tech-providers: Nordic countries have been focused on environmental and smart city challenges for a long time and are world leaders in technological and sustainable solutions. This positions the Nordics as an attractive potential partner in markets with a high demand for clean and urban technologies, such as New York City.
If you represent a Swedish city, company or other relevant player working with clean and/or urban tech, you should consider being part of our Nordic delegation. Together with our partners from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Iceland, we will gather cities and companies from all of the Nordic countries representing a broad spectrum of expertise and technology focused on today’s environmental and urban challenges.
We are currently working on a program that will provide participants with:
- Access to Smart City conference-expo related events,
- Opportunities to network with industry personnel,
- Opportunities to showcase Nordic solutions to relevant audiences.
- Read more about the preliminary Nordic program here.
